Timothy "Timmy" James Poston

Timothy “Timmy” James Poston, 53, of Scranton, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee, Florence.

Mr. Poston was born on February 20, 1973, in Lexington, son of Larry L. Poston and the late Carolyn Moulds Poston. He was a graduate of Lincoln High. Timothy was a friendly soul who was loved by many. As a child, he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball with his cousins, creating many fond memories together. He had a passion for wrestling and also enjoyed spending time watching television, especially his favorite shows like Wheel of Fortune and classic soap operas. Timothy found joy in simple pleasures, such as cooking and helping out in the garden. His warm spirit and love for life will be remembered by all who knew him.

Surviving are his brother, Robert Lee Poston, of Scranton; aunts, Diane (Elbert) Cox, Gale (Louie) Phillips, Faye (Hubert) Daniels, Joyce (Thurston) McCutcheon and Linda (Charles) Hanna; uncle, Richard "Ricky" Allen Moulds of Charleston; cousins, Phillip, Cody, Pam, Stacy, Ryan, Niki, Robin, Travis and Kennedy.

Mr. Poston was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Poston;  aunts, Judy Richburg, Shirley Moulds Grier, and Wanda Conyers; cousins, Tina, Rocky and Davey.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. Johns Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Pamplico. Visitation will follow the services.
