Tommy "Rock" Ray Spivey

Tommy Ray Spivey, 69, died Monday, March 2, 2020, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Mr. Spivey was born on July 7, 1950 in Whiteville, NC, son of the late Willard Tommy Spivey and Margie Eva McGee Spivey. He was a huge Kyle Busch #18 NASCAR fan. Tommy loved to watch the race and spend time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his brother, Wayne Spivey; nieces; Evelyn (Jamie) Dennis, Patricia Welch, Robin, Rebecca; nephew, Christopher Spivey; great nephews, Richie Dennis, Jason Dennis and Scotty (Harley Matthews) Welch; great niece, Brenda Welch; great great nieces, Lailyn Welch and Emberlin Welch; special friend, Travis (Linda) Newman.

Mr. Spivey was preceded in death by sister; Brenda Sue Beard; brother, Willie Spivey; brother-in-law, Richard Hoyt Beard and sister-in-law, Diane Spivey.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Carolina Funeral Home.
