Mr. Travis Lawton “Tee” Campbell, Jr., 59, of the community of Poston Corner, Johnsonville, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Travis Lawton “Tee” Campbell, Jr. was born on November 10, 1965, in Florence County, son of Travis L. Campbell, Sr. and Carolyn Davis Campbell. Tee worked in construction as a bridge foreman, where his strong work ethic, intelligence, and craftsmanship earned him the respect of his peers. Though his voice was rough, his heart was humble and tender — a contrast that made him unforgettable to those who knew him.
A true homebody at heart, Tee found joy in the simple things. He loved to read, care for animals, and spend time with his family. He was happiest among his loved ones, where his wit and charm made him the entertainer in any room. His love for life was contagious, and his presence could light up the darkest days.
One of Tee’s greatest passions was motorcycles. He loved the thrill of the ride — the freedom of the open road, the wind on his face, and the sense of peace he found behind the handlebars. Riding wasn't just a hobby for Tee — it was a part of who he was. Whether taking a long ride or simply tuning up his bike, he found joy in every moment.
Athletic and full of energy, Tee also enjoyed both football and baseball. Whether working with his hands, cheering on a game, or making others laugh, he approached life with enthusiasm and authenticity.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Amy Poston Campbell of Poston Corner, Johnsonville; son, Ridge Lawton (Bre) Campbell of Johnsonville; granddaughter, Kingsley Conroy of Johnsonville; brothers, Shannon (Tracey) Campbell of Lake City and Cory Campbell of Johnsonville; many nieces, nephews, and friends; and his fur babies, BeBe, Little Red, Pepper and Pixie.
A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow the service.
