Mrs. Vickie Mae Nettles, 64, of Lake City, widow of the late James “Jimmy” Richard Nettles, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.
Mrs. Nettles was born on July 11, 1959, in Florence County, daughter of the late James Odell Gaskins and Alice Blondell Tilton Gaskins. She was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, shopping, flowers, especially roses and drinking Pepsi. She loved her family, never met a stranger and always put others first.
Surviving are her sons, James Nettles of Lake City and Harry O’Dell (Crystal) Nettles of Coward; grandson, Kenneth George Harry Nettles of Coward; granddaughter, Ruby Allison Crystal Nettles of Coward; niece, Beth Wise of Lake City and Windy (Joe) Morrell of Albany, GA; nephew, Randy (Karen) Driggers of Lake City; uncle, Palmer Tilton of Summerville; great niece, Hope Wise of Lake City; great nephew, Shane Wise and David Michael Driggers , both of Lake City; along with many other nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nettles was preceded in death by siblings, Ernestine Driggers and Jimmy Gaskins.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, April 29, 2024, at Matthews Cemetery, Coward, with visitation to follow after the service.
