Vickie "Sam" (Murrow) McGee

Vickie “Sam” Murrow McGee, 60, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024, at her home in Johnsonville.

Vickie “Sam” was born on October 7, 1963, in Florence County, daughter of the late W.M. Murrow and Jeanette Matthews Murrow. She loved selling parts at the NAPA store in Johnsonville. Vickie “Sam” enjoyed the beach and loved to dance. Her favorite time spent was with her family and grandchildren.   

Surviving are her sons, Bobby McGee and Tommy McGee; grandchildren, Kyler McGee, Christian McGee, Brittany McGee, David McGee and Liam McGee; sisters, Kay (Denward) Prosser and Diane (Tony) Carroll; father of her children, Allen McGee; daughter-in-law, Jennifer McGee; extended family, nieces and nephews.

Vickie “Sam” was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Denise McGee; siblings, Lester Thompson and Frankie Blaton; sister-in-law, Marie Thompson; nephew, Tony Carroll.

A Celebration of Life will be 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, SC.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
