Wayne Hancock

Curtis Wayne Hancock, 66, husband of the late Deanna Marie "Dee" Hancock, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his home after an illness.

Mr. Hancock was born on December 7, 1954 in Lake City, son of the late Curtis Benjamin Hancock and Shelvia Jean Godwin Hancock. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and was self-employed with a family business, Hancock Utilities. Mr. Hancock enjoyed helping his son on the family farm and spending time with family, especially his grandson, Cohen.  

Surviving are his children, Curtis Aaron (Brandy) Hancock of Coward, Chad Hendricks Hancock and Haley Marie Hancock, both of Lake City; grandson, Cohen Hancock; brother, Steve (Barbara) Hancock of Kingstree; and a special friend, Lynn Olsen.

Graveside services will be 1:30 PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Hancock Cemetery, Scranton.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
