William R. Owens

Mr. William Rollie Owens, 77, of Cades, died peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at MUSC Hospital in Florence, SC.  

William was born on March 1, 1947, in Williamsburg County, son of the late Ruford William Owens and April Cox Owens. He was retired from Albany International and was an avid farmer.  In his leisure time, he cherished watching classic Western films, casting a line in the water, and spending time outdoors.

William is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Owens; her mother, Laurie Matthews Owens; and their dog, Xena; his grand dogs, Gigi and Bentley; his brothers Rusty (Sherry) Owens and Kenny Owens, both of Cades; his sisters, Arnette Irving of Goose Creek and Dianne Pierce of Cades; many nieces and nephews; as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.            

William was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth (Libby) Owens Johnson.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Carolina Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
