Mr. William C. Garner, Jr., 81, husband of Kathy Long Garner, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Pee Dee.
Mr. Garner was born on December 31, 1944, in Madisonville, TN, son of the late William C. Garner, Sr. and Lilie Iris Lee Garner. He was a devoted member of Lake City United Methodist Church and retired from W. Lee Flowers Wholesale Grocery Company. Above all, he cherished his family, who were the joy of his life.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Kathy Long Garner; sons, John (Andrea) Garner of Little River and William C. (Lani) Garner, III of Blanchard, OK; grandchildren, Savannah Garner, Lauren Garner and Christian Garner; sister-in-law, Helen Garner of Shelbyville, TN; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Garner and sister, Sassy Blackwell.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, Friday, July 3, 2026, at Lake City United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. A Memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake City United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 818, Lake City, SC 29560.
The family sends much love and appreciation to Dr. Ravneet Bajwa and the nurses in the IV Therapy Department at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Pee Dee.
