Winfred Wayne Evans

Winfred Wayne Evans, 72, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.

Wayne was born on December 8, 1951, in Florence County, son of the late Winfred L. Evans and Julia Daniels Evans. He was a graduate of Hannah Pamplico High School, attended Union Baptist Church and was a long standing member of the Salem Community, which he loved being a part of dearly.

Surviving are a son, Ryan Wayne (Morgan) Evans of Columbia; grandchildren, Gwynn Marie Evans, Carter Ryan Evans, Grace Julia Evans, and Campbell Rustin Evans, all of Columbia; siblings, Jerry (Nelva) Evans of Florence and Teresa (Matt) MacGillivray of Columbia; number of nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by a brother, Nelson Evans.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Union Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery.
