Woodrow Ernest Lee

Mr. Woodrow Ernest Lee, 78, husband of Betty Gail Lynch Lee, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Mr. Lee was born on July 1, 1946, in Florence County, son of the late Ernest Woodrow Lee and Celia Victoria Brown Lee. He was a graduate of Southside High School, Class of 1966 and a Veteran of the US Navy.  Mr. Lee was a member of Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church serving as a Deacon and Director of Missions.  He was a “Master Plumber” and retired as a piping & plumbing superintendent for Cayce Company.  Mr. Lee enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Betty Gail Lynch Lee; daughters, Amy Lee Correia of Lamar, Anissa Kay (Lacy) Taylor of Florence, Mendy Gail Lee and Heather Bazen (Luke) Buckwalter both of Timmonsville; grandchildren, Trey (Jessica) Taylor, Amber (Jason) Taylor, Rusty Correia, Caleb (Destiny) Correia, Richard Bazen, Olivia (Jake) Bazen, Bryson Bowman, Victoria Boone and Jada Lee; 8 great grandchildren;  siblings, Robert Lee, Tex (Bonnie) Lee, Gene (Patricia) Lee, and Terry (Petra) Lee, Janice (David) Oliver, Christine (Lester) Adams and Ernestine (MH) Baker; a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Richard Bazen; sister, Betty Welch; brothers, Jerry Lee and Allen J. Lee.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 14,  2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with entombment to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, 3320 S. Cashua Drive, Florence, SC 29501.
