Wright Nelson "Buck" Kirby

Wright Nelson Kirby, 88, died Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Williamsburg Regional Hospital, Kingstree.

Mr. Kirby was born on September 19, 1931 in Florence County, son of the late Clyde Kirby and Fannie Godwin Kirby. He was a retired mechanic with the Williamsburg County School Systems. Mr. Kirby was a member of Cades Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as Deacon. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and enjoyed traveling and going to the mountains.

Surviving are his daughter; Wanda (CH) Lynch of Kingstree; son, Reverend Donnie (Hilda) Kirby of Lake City; grandchildren, Amy (James) Coker, Amanda (Jamie) Lynch, April (Tim) Stockdale; great grandchildren, Byron, Matthew, Chelsea, Gracie, Jennifer, J.J., Joshua, Caden, Chelsey and J.T.; great great grandchildren, Liam and Jaxson; brother, Dexter Kirby of Greenville.

Mr. Kirby was first married to the late Corine Christmas Kirby and then to the late Carolyn Buddin Kinder Kirby, he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Donnie Kirby, Jr.; brothers, David Kirby, Carrol Kirby and Vanick Kirby.                                                                                                          

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, July 31, 2020, at Cades Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service, in the fellowship hall.
