Wyatt Shane Altman, 24, of Hemingway, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025.
Wyatt was born on May 10, 2000, in Florence County, son of Sandy Poston and the late Randy Lamont Altman. Wyatt was a dedicated crew leader at Goins Underground, known for his hard work and kind heart. He had a passion for hunting, motocross, and bull riding, but above all, Wyatt cherished the cowboy lifestyle, just like his father. A loving father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, and cousin, he was deeply treasured by his family and friends. Wyatt’s legacy of strength, love, and joy for life will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Surviving are his daughter, Arlyngton Gray Altman; mother, Sandy Lynch Poston (Jeff Miller); step-dad, Scot (Jeannie) Poston; siblings, Meadow Poston, Toby Poston, Kellie Altman, Jamie (Cassie Teal) Goins and Geoffrey Brockway; maternal grandparents, Eileen “Grammy” Brieaddy & Tom “Grampy” Brieaddy, and David & Bobby Lynch; aunts and uncles, Mary Altman, Gwen Altman, Norma Altman, Penny Altman, Debbie Shoppell, Gene Altman and Todd Peters; nieces, Wrenley Poston and Emma Kate Altman; nephews, Bradley Goins and Baylor Goins; cousins, Cody Poston, Austin Poston, Cora Peters, Maylin Peters, Bailey Powell, Harmony Powell; and extended family members.
Wyatt was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, CH Altman and Pearl Thompson Altman; nana, Violet Dennis Poston; uncles, LeFay Altman, Timmy Altman, Carl Altman and Chuck Shoppell; aunt, Christine Peters.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, February 24, 2025, at Eaddy-Ford Cemetery, Johnsonville.
