Shay is a licensed Funeral Director of Carolina Funeral Home and has worked in the funeral business for over thirty years. He retired as a First Sergeant from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, after 29 years of service. Shay and his wife Jennifer have two sons, Daniel and Isaac. Shay is a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Church where he serves as a deacon.
