Geraldine Elizabeth Harris

CONWAY: Mrs. Geraldine Elizabeth Harris, 71, wife of Robert R. Harris, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, March 24, 2013, in a Conway hospital after an illness.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 28th, 2013 at Lake City Cemetery, Lake City. The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 12:30, prior to the service at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Hwy. 378 Bypass, Scranton.

Mrs. Harris was born Feburary 4, 1942 in Shawnee, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph Simpson and Icle Marie Craig Simpson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and very kind and generous to everyone. Mrs. Harris was an avid bingo player.

Survivors include her husband, Robert R. Harris of Conway; her children, Debbie Jo Simpson of West Liberty, KY, Don Reno Blankenship of Mt Gilead, OH, Janet Kay Blankenship, Robbie Jean Blankenship, Robert Ray Simpson and Jeremiah James Harris, Sr., all of Conway; her grandchildren, George Long, Kizzy Blankenship, Jimmy Long, Joshua Burton, Samantha Burton, Donnie Blankenship, James Blankenship, April Blankenship Brooker, McCarrie S. Blankenship, Desteney Hope Blankenship, Deedra Saunders, Kelsey Harris, Mariah M. Harris, Jeremiah J. Harris, Jr. and Elizabeth S. Harris; and twenty great grandchildren; her sisters, Peggy Post of Corning, OH and Marylin Halass of Logan, OH.

Mrs. Harris was preceded by a son, Berlin Blankenship; a grandson, Anthony Richard Burton; eight brothers and five sisters.
