Helen (Floyd) Montgomery

Lake City:  Mrs. Helen Floyd Lee Montgomery, 81, died Monday, October 24, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Montgomery was born on July 24, 1935 in Lake City, daughter of the late Wilmer Floyd and Lucy Knight Floyd.  She retired as Administrator from the State of S. C. Pee Dee Mental Health after 20 plus years of service.

Surviving are her daughter, Debra Lee (Sammy) Floyd of Scranton; son, Harley H. (Jenny) Lee of Lake City; grandchildren, Cameron (Michelle) Floyd of Chapin, Boen (Emilia) Floyd of Lexington, Matthew Lee of Florence, Grady Lee of Lake City and Abby Lee of Charleston; great-grandchildren, Mason Floyd, Maddox Floyd, Camdyn Floyd, Efie Floyd, Lexie Floyd and Ava Lee; brothers, David W. (Mamie) Floyd of Lake City and Charles Floyd of Charleston; sister, Judy Johnson of Clemson; beloved in-laws, Davis Daniel of Florence, Jeanette Lee of Lake City and Bonnie Floyd of Charleston; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her first husband, Harley H. "Lea" Lee and second husband, James W. Montgomery; son, Alan R. Lee; brother, Raymond Floyd and wife, Ollie; sister, Elizabeth "Lib" Hale and husband John; beloved sister-in-law, Omega Lee Daniel and beloved brothers-in-law, James D. Lee and Dale Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A. M. – 1:00 P. M., Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.

Memorial services will be private at a later date.
