Timmy Matthews

Timothy Wayne Matthews, 60, of Florence, died Friday, July 21, 2017, at his residence.

Private graveside services, will be Monday, July 24, 2017, at Singletary Cemetery, Coward.

Timmy was born on December 27, 1956 in Florence County, a son of Delores "Tootsie" Ardis and the late Jack Matthews.  Timmy served in the United States Navy and was a painter with Phillips Properties. 

Surviving in addition to his mother and step-father, Delores "Tootsie" and Kenny Ardis of Sumter, are his brother, Michael Ray (Joyce) Matthews of Coward; sister, Kimberly Matthews (Billy) Evans of Coward; nieces and nephews, Beth Matthews, Michelle (Jamie) Williamson, Steven Matthews, Madesyn Godwin, Trysten Godwin, Baylee Williamson; and a number of aunts and uncles.

Timmy was preceded in death by his son, James Pressley Matthews.
